About DOBBS

Dr Alan Teh is the founder of DOBBS (Doctors Only Bulletin Board System), one of Malaysia's earliest and most enduring online communities built specifically for medical doctors. Established more than two decades ago, DOBBS was created to provide a trusted platform where physicians could connect, exchange knowledge, discuss clinical issues, and support one another across institutions and specialties.

Dr Alan Teh is a Consultant Haematologist and Bone Marrow Transplant Physician with over three decades of clinical experience. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya, and later obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, UK) followed by the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP, Edinburgh). His clinical work focuses on haematological cancers, stem cell transplantation, and advanced haematology treatments.

Throughout his career, Dr Teh has been involved in advancing haematology services in Malaysia, particularly in the development of bone marrow transplantation and modern treatment approaches for blood disorders and malignancies. He currently practices as a Consultant Haematologist at Subang Jaya Medical Centre, where he continues to care for patients while contributing to the growth of specialist haematology services in the country.

Beyond medicine, Dr Teh has always maintained a strong interest in technology and digital innovation. Recognising early on the potential of the internet to strengthen professional collaboration, he founded DOBBS as a platform to bring Malaysian doctors together in an open yet trusted environment for discussion, knowledge sharing, and professional networking.

Today, DOBBS continues to serve as a vibrant doctor community, connecting healthcare professionals across Malaysia and supporting meaningful exchange within the medical profession.
